In my last post I posited that the title is Man United’s to lose. The twist and turns of the season continues as Man U lost a game they were favored to win. Wigan’s bold attempt must not be undermined….they came out roaring, knowing they stand to lose nothing, as they continue in their relegation dog-fight. The stats says it all that Man U had a bad day at the DW stadium.
In my opinion, the title will still be at Old Trafford come May….but Man United must still tread with caution, as the gap was closed to five points, after an emphatic win by Man City last night. The team all of a sudden recovered their lost form, setting up an interesting finale to this season’s title run. With the present gap, we can now look forward to an interesting derby. This puts Man U in a delicate edge, as any draw – and consistent wins for Man City- will automatically give the table a different look. However, I still place my money on United, as experience and doggedness of Sir Alex will see them through.
I must quickly commend the strong last-lap run Arsenal has produced, after a dismal form at the beginning of the season. A win at struggling Wolves shows that le Prof still knows how to ‘milk the stone’.
Can United stay strong till May, or do you think City still have a chance?
Let’s have your thoughts.

Manchester City are permanent failures. Manchester United will lift the trophy.
ReplyDeleteUnited forever!
You cannot write Man city off as failures...they are second on the table with massive 74 points. thats no mean feat.
