The Title Swings!

As the drama of the English Premier league draws to its end, the title took a mighty swing on Sunday when Arsenal exposed Man City's incompetency and lack of tenacity. It was shameful and pathetic to watch the hangdog look on Mancini’s face at the end of the game…it was oozing defeat and failure. The title is now Man United’s own to lose.
It must not be ignored that both team had points to prove. Apart from the title/champions league spot they were struggling for respectively, Arsenal needed to show that although many have referred to them as Man City feeders’ team, they still had the stuff to make all admirers of football enthralled at their style of play.
Arsenal had a merry weekend as Tottenham could only afford a draw with Sunderland, and later loose to Norwich, thereby easing Arsenal's job of cementing the third position. They’ll open a five-point lead if they can overcome Wolves on Wednesday.
It is only a pity that Di Matteo’s effort has not improved Chelsea’s relevance in this title race. They have received fewer headlines this season, except for the barrenness of Torres and AVB’s saga. Their draw with Fulham condemns them to sixth position…not a familiar sight, owing to their performance in recent seasons.
I must not forget to applaud the effort of Newcastle and the brave works of Alan Pardew, who against all odds are now joint fourth with Tottenham. Who would have given them a chance, after recurring controversies over their Chairman- Mike Ashley; renaming of the stadium; sales of key players like Andy Carroll, Joey Barton, Enrique, Nolan…to mention but a few. They have effectively built team around the striking capabilities of Demba ba and Cisse.
With Five to Six games to go, we are sure of more last minute drama and theatrics.
Let’s have your view on any surprise that you predict.

  2. Well, that prediction may not be unachievable since Man City are in a run of poor results, and reverse is the case for the Arsenal side… we can only wait and see.
