Pat part ways with Arsenal.
Always a Gunner
We say farewell to a long serving Gunner, Pat Rice. He will step down as assistant Coach to le prof, Arsene Wenger, at the end of this season, ending his 44 years relationship with Arsenal. He has had a long memorable relation with the London club where he started his career as a football, and went on to captain the team. He later became the youth team coach, and was promoted to assistant when Wenger took over in 1996. Current youth team coach, Steve Bould have been chosen to replace him.
Pat n' Wenger
He had 397 appearances for the gunners and as Captain he lifted the FA Cup in 1979.
We’ll miss your calm demeanour on the Arsenal bench.
Arsenal goes for another Asian.
Kagawa
Feeds reaching us indicate that Arsenal are on the trail of Dortmund attacking midfielder, Shinji Kagawa. The 23 years old Japanese can go for the cut price of £5m.
Will this be another Park that will take 2 years to adapt to the primer league? Is he the real extra midfielder needed, or just another ‘economic buy’ for the Asian market? We can only wait on Wenger and see.
Wolves grabs new coach
Sol
Relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers, appoints 44 years Old Norwegian, Stale Solbakken. He takes over from sacked Mick McCarthy. He is expected to resume July 1, and try to guide the club back to top flight football.
He coached Copenhagen to five top flight cup in the Danish Super liga.
Can he steer this team back to the premiership? I have my strong reservations on that, bearing on his dismal performance in 1. FC Koln.

Pat goodbye. I won't miss him. We need new ideas, but I am afraid if Bould can offer that freshness
