Chelsea drubs Tottenham!

Chelsea had a cheery evening last night when they latched London rivals Tottenham 5-1. Questions have been flying all over the air. What has happened to Harry and his team? Would the result be different had the second controversial goal been disallowed? Is Di Matteo really this good, or just a fluke? Would AVB have succeeded if left in the job till date? You can go on and on....
In my own candid view, Chelsea were worthy winners of the night, irrespective of that second goal. Agreed, the ball didn’t cross the line, but why did Tot’ham waste so many chances? They could have made a come-back after getting one goal back, courtesy a Gareth Bale’s strike. But they went loose and allowed Chelsea to plunder them.
I feel Modric and Van der Vaart were the missing pieces in the game. Modric was playing too deep and VDV was mostly anonymous. I fear for Tottenham, because they have capable hands in all departments, and should have had a better result. Cudicini may be a second choice in a large part of his career, but that doesn’t say he’s a mediocre. A defence consisting of Walker, veteran Gallas and King, combined with ever strong Assou-Ekotto, should be able to stand against any attack.
Modric, Van der Vaart, Scot Parker, Bale and Lennon, can pass to be a threatening midfield any day...crowned up with proven Adebayo up front, you expect more from Tottenham. Should we conclude that they are suffering from tired legs???
I still have strong confidence in Harry Redknapp, not minding the recent poor run. His career speaks volume.
Di Matteo may just be enjoying the ripple effect of the bad results of AVB...but that’s not to say he’s a novice in the game....he brought Westbrom back to the league. Should he be given a permanent role? I don’t think so.
Truth be said, AVB wouldn’t have been able to deliver the result that Matteo have put together...the team was already against him. I guess he would learn from little mistakes that made him lose his control.
Lest I omit the cream of the night....Lamps, that was a stunner for a free kick!
