It’s Over, Rover!

Goodbye Premiership
Blackburn Rovers joined Wolves in getting relegated from top flight English football yesterday with a 1-0 late defeat to Wigan. In a game of end-to-end missed chances, Rovers were unable to hold their relegation fight till the last day of the season. 16-goals Yakubu could not save the night, as an 87th minute Alcaraz’s goal turned out to be the decider.
Alcaraz Celebrates
But against all obvious odds, Blackburn’s coach Steve Kean has stated that he intends to stay. Kean has always been under immense pressure from majority of the fans who never approved of his appointment from the onset. Back in December 2010, the new Indian owners sacked Sam Allardyce under unclear circumstances and since then Kean had struggled to keep the club in the top flight. A poll held back then when Sam was sacked showed that 66.9% were against the owners’ decision. I guess the 'revolutionary' Indians must be having a rethink by now. Meanwhile, Sam is doing a nice job at West ham, getting them to the Play-off final, en route their way back to the Premier league.
Let’s see what those at the helm at Rover will do next, as the fans continue in their protest against their management style and Kean.

On other hand, Congratulations to Wigan as they ensure their unbroken eight-year stay in the Premier league, after last night’s win. Martinez has continued to show his ability, and I personally rank him to be among the next crop of Big-time managers.
Who’ll be next to join Blackburn and Wolves? Is it Bolton or QPR? My bet is on QPR, they’ve got a mighty game against title contenders, Man City.

    1. @dave am having that feeling too. But it's more realistic to see Man city's victory. But if QPR can pull that stunt,it'll be the intrigue of the season.
