One hand’s ON

Almost there...
Manchester City placed one hand on the title this weekend as the Premier league set to experience the first title ever to be won based on goal difference. Last week, loads of persons were sceptical if Man city will be able to hold their nerves as this dramatic season climaxes. Their meeting with giant-killers, Newcastle, was seen as the last real challenge that can make or mare their season. But Yaya Toure, who have been raving like a young hungry lion took hold of the match, scored both goals and came out 2-0 victors over the Toons. Manchester United on the other hand could only hold Man ity’s celebration till the final day of the season, after beating Swansea two goals to nothing. Both teams will now wait for next week Sunday, when all teams play same time, to decide or confirm who lifts the trophy. Ferguson is looking unto QPR's Mark Hughes to help him clog the team he tags ‘the Noisy Neighbours’.
Steve Morrison scores against Arsenal
On other nerve breaking encounters, Arsenal as usual, gave their fans another heart scare by drawing a tight match against Norwich. Going into the match, many thought it was going to be a routine win for the gunners....though personally I had my reservations. My reservations were based on the consistent inconsistencies of the team. They have failed time and again to stand straight under pressure. With their London rivals, Tottenham, breathing down their shoulders with just a point difference, I knew the gunners could crumble easily. And so it was.... not minding the prolific display of Captain Van Persie who scored two goals, the gunners could only finish their last HOME game of the season in a DRAW.
On Sunday, there were loads of expectation from Tottenham to see off struggling Aston Villa and finally leap-frog Arsenal into the third position. But that was not to be as 10-men Tottenham could only finish the match in a draw too. That leaves them stuck in the fourth position going into the final game of the season.  Am sure Redknapp must be very disappointed at that lost golden opportunity. As earlier mentioned, Newcastle’s loss to Man City also meant that they couldn’t take advantage of the draws of Arsenal and Tottenham.
Eye wide open on the Final week of the season where there would be loads of deciders...can’t wait!
Let’s hear from you if you expect any surprise last minute twist...
