Done Deal
He has since completed his medicals and unveiled as a Barcelona player. Arsenal are said to be looking for a replacement for Song, with Sahin and M’villa standing by as likely options. As earlier reported the gunners are looking at a loan move for Sahin, but talks between Arsenal and Madrid were stalled because of the wage demands of the player. Madrid wants Arsenal to take care of the £80,000 weekly wage of the player, but Arsenal want Madrid to take responsibility for a percentage of the bill. Nevertheless, Wenger has assured the fans that he looks to bring in two players before the end of the transfer window. All I can say is…we are waiting, le prof.
Butt Man
Manchester United have also been strongly linked to a loan moved for outcast Madrid player, Kaka. Sir Alex is still weighing the possibility of employing the services of the injury prone midfielder and also shouldering his £250,000 weekly wage. If you ask me, Man U do not need him…there are enough attacking options in the United team. As for Kaka, if Ac Milan can foot his bill, that will be a better place to head, as he will easily feel at home at Milan were he made his mark as World footballer of the year.
Danny Welbeck has also committed his future to United in a four year deal. The English striker, who made his mark last season for the red devils, has accepted an improved contract that will take his weekly wage to £50,000, and can get up to £70,000 cumulative with addition of other bonuses.
Back in London, Chelsea has let out their young midfielder, Josh McEachran on a season long loan to Middlesbrough. The youngster has been frustrated by consistent lack of playing time at Chelsea. I really feel for the Youngman; he has been highly spoken of by many pundits who applaud his abilities. Will he ever get the opportunity to prove himself in that big, ever-growing Chelsea midfield? Only time will tell.
Ade's Tot
Tottenham has also secured the signature of Adebayor on a four year deal from Man city. The striker tweeted his return to the club were he spent a loan spell last season and scored an amazing 18 goals. After agreeing a pay-off deal with Man City, the former Arsenal striker sealed a £5m deal with Tottenham to mark his return to London. We wish him all the best...
